My client, a global leader in the luggage concierge industry and who have found that their rapid growth and utilisation of a third party (Dev) supplier leads to a requirement for a Senior Software Developer to join their team. This role requires a back end focused software developer with the following skills and technical expertise:

• Client relationship management experience and amazing communication skills
• A hands-on approach to solving technical challenges
• Proven experience mentoring and managing a growing team of developers
• Experience with the Laravel ecosystem
• Ability to work with various APIs and eCommerce platforms
• Proficiency with HTML, CSS and JavaScript
• Proficiency with Git and understanding of DevOps process
• Passion for coding, design and web service development
• Knowledge of build scripting such as Webpack/Gulp/Grunt

This is a hands-on coding role, requiring the successful applicant to have the communication skills to interpret and understand the requirements of the business, as well as the confidence to challenge these if necessary. Awareness of AWS would offer a distinct advantage whilst it is important to note that the Javascript component is basic.

Deliverables for this role are widely encompassed across the following detail, although specifics will be discussed in interview:

• Write clean, documented, de-baggable code across backend systems to add new functionality and systems and improve the existing architecture
• Test your own code’s functionality
• Perform code review and testing of software produced by 3^rd party
• Work with developers to design algorithms and flowcharts
• Integrate software components and 3^rd party programs
• Verify and deploy programs and systems
• Follow bespoke development process to effectively communicate progress
• Participate in the design of new systems and functionality across backend
• Troubleshoot, debug and upgrade existing software
• When debugging distributed systems determining the optimal fix
• Gather and evaluate user feedback
• Recommend and execute improvements
• Create technical documentation for reference and reporting
